Account & Settings

Everything about your account lives in the user menu (bottom of the app sidebar): Profile, Subscription, Bug Reports, Feature Requests, Documentation, and Log out.

Profile Settings

Open Profile from the user menu to manage:

  • Full Name — how you're addressed in the app
  • Default Timezone — used when interpreting and displaying trade timestamps. Set this to match the timezone your platform exports use, so session analysis lands in the right buckets
  • Preferred Currency — display currency for monetary values
  • Change password — for email/password accounts (Google sign-in accounts manage credentials with Google)
  • Comment notifications — toggle email notifications when someone replies to your bug reports or feedback
  • Usage stats — how many strategies, portfolios, and uploads your account holds

Subscription & Plans

The Subscription page shows your current tier, trial countdown (if applicable), and usage against your plan's limits.

TierWho it's for
FreeExploring with samples and light personal use
TrialFull evaluation access for a limited time
AnalyzerSingle-strategy validation workflow — import, Quality Report, Monte Carlo, Health
Risk ProEverything, including the full portfolio construction and robustness toolkit

Usage limits (for example, composition runs per month) reset on a monthly cycle; the page shows a usage bar so you always know where you stand. When you hit a plan limit mid-action, the app shows an upgrade prompt rather than failing silently.

Info

Account suspended? This usually means a trial has ended. The Subscription page stays reachable and walks you through reactivating. Your imported data is not deleted.

Sample Data

New accounts include read-only sample strategies (marked Sample · read-only in the Strategy Hub) so every feature is explorable before your first import. Some analysis features may prompt you to import your own data — samples exist for learning the interface, not for drawing conclusions.

Bug Reports & Feature Requests

  • Bug Reports — open Bug Reports → Report Bug from the user menu. Include what you did, what you expected, and what happened; each report becomes a thread where the team can follow up (enable comment notifications in your Profile to hear back by email). Tip: Copy strategy ID from the Strategy Hub row menu if the bug involves a specific strategy.
  • Feature Requests — opens the public feature request board where you can propose ideas and vote on others.

Common Questions

Can I use AlgoChef on multiple devices? Yes — your account and data are cloud-based; sign in anywhere.

How do I delete my account or data? Delete individual strategies/portfolios anytime from their libraries. For full account deletion, contact support@algochef.app or see the Privacy Policy.

Why can't I see a feature the docs describe? Feature visibility depends on your plan, and a few advanced capabilities roll out gradually. If a page shows a "Soon" badge or an upgrade prompt, that's why.
