Scoring System Overview
AlgoChef rates every strategy with five institutional-grade scores, each measuring a different dimension of quality. Together, they evaluate multiple metrics at once and tell you whether a strategy is worth trading — in seconds, not hours.

Why five scores instead of one? A single metric like net profit or Sharpe Ratio can be misleading. A strategy can be profitable yet dangerously risky, or statistically unreliable despite great returns. AlgoChef's five scores each answer a different question — is it profitable, is the risk survivable, is there enough evidence, what's the overall verdict, and is it still behaving like itself? Together they give you an institutional-grade overview that no single metric can match.
The Five Scores

Tier Classification
All scores share the same tier system:

| Excellent | 80–100 | Top-tier performance |
| Good | 60–79 | Solid with room to improve |
| Caution | 40–59 | Needs attention or optimization |
| Failed | 1–39 | Do not trade |
A score of 0 isn't a Failed score — it means the score hasn't been calculated, usually because the strategy doesn't have enough trades yet. It shows as Not enough data in gray.
The Health Score uses five tiers: Excellent (80–100), Good (60–79), Caution (40–59), Critical (30–39) for strategies showing active degradation, and Failed (1–29).

Excellent is hard to reach on purpose. A strategy with great returns but poor risk management won't score well. A strategy with great stats on a short trade history won't score well either. That's by design. See CSI — Why is my score low? for more detail.
How to Read the Scores
Tip
Start with the CSI — it's the single number that tells you the overall quality. Then check Health to make sure the strategy isn't degrading.
